Our Forced Air Precoolers offer advantages over wet systems, for some commodities. Using chilled water as a secondary cooling medium, limits the air temperatures to 34F degrees.

Forced Air Coolers are suitable for:
Apples, Artichokes, Avocados, Bananas, Green Beans, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Cantaloupes, Cauliflower, Cherries, Cucumbers, Grapes, Honeydews, Kiwi, Nectarines, Okra, Onions (dry), Peaches, Bell Peppers, Plums, Summer Squash, Strawberries, Tomatoes and more.

Features of Forced Air Cooling:

  • Galvanized steel housing for protection against corrosion;

Vertical Airflow Precooler

Tarpfree Precoolers offer the advantage of being able to load from one end, and discharge from the other.

Reversible airflow is also offered, which can reduce precooling times by 20% or more.

Our Tarpfree Precoolers are controlled front and back, meaning you can start the first half of the load into precooling as soon as it is loaded, and then start the second half 30 minutes later, or whenever it is full.

You thereby save 30 minutes in cut-to-cool for the first-loaded product.
